Squads confirmed for St. Lucia Zouks for CPL 2020

Earlier today, the Caribbean Premier League website confirmed the squads for all six franchises that will be participating in the 2020 edition of the tournament. Players, coaches and management staff from all six franchises will be in strict quarantine for 14 days, before the tournament kicks off on August 18.

All participating members entering the country from outside will be tested 72 hours prior boarding their respective flights to ensure they are safe.

Michael Hall, CPL Tournament Operations Director, said: “These withdrawals are a sign of the testing protocols that CPL put in place working as they should, and while it is disappointing for the players and coaches involved it is vital that CPL does nothing to compromise the safety of all those involved in the tournament and the public of Trinidad.

“There have been other changes to the squads and support staff as a result of other logistical challenges to the difficulty of travelling at the current time.”

For the St. Lucia Zouks, they will continue to be captained by former West Indian skipper Darren Sammy. Veteran left hander Chris Gayle unfortunately will not be part of the Zouks squad this year after he decided to give the tournament a skip due to personal reasons.

Anrich Nortje and Colin Ingram will also be missing out on CPL 2020 due to visa limitations, and will be replaced by Scott Kuggelejin of New Zealand and Najibullah Zadran of Afghanistan.

Here’s the full squad for the St. Lucia Zouks for CPL 2020.
